Hello, I am trying to fit a A9-14 slimline fan to my Streacom DA2 using the included fan mounts.

These are shorter compared to ones supplied with the 25mm fans, see below. I can't get them to "click" into the rear case mounting slots, is it just a case of pulling realllllly hard?

They can be a bit stiff but you shouldn't have to pull hard.
Sometimes you need to pull at an angle to coax the lip over. In a sort of circular motion.
You could also try warming them up a little in you hand first.

I actually found that it was easiest to install with these particular mounts in reverse:

Install these silicone mounts into the fan first (not the case). It's much easier to know when it's fully in this way. Give it a slight tug to see if it pulls away from the mount once done to make sure you got it all the way you need to.
Do this for all four mounts into the fan first.
Place the fan with the mounts in up to the fan slot position you want to install it at (this is even easier on your case as it's not screw holes but slits instead)
Gently angle the flat end into the fan mount holes/slits, so that there's a part of the flat end jutting out from the outside portion of the slits already.
And then from the outside, grab the flat that's poking through and gently "spin" that flat portion around until it it entirely through.
Do this for all four of them.

This way, you don't need to fit it into the fan mount holes/slits on the case first and then try and put the fan on after, especially in a limited space situation.

Personally, I love these silicone mounts and would love to have a few more of them as replacement for areas where screws are used and the traditional longer mounts on the larger fans are just too long for use (such as when there's something else that goes on top like the top of a case and there's only a screwhead amount of space left).
