Ok, so I don't ever actually use IE at all, but Windows Update is constantly reminding me of a "critical update" which is basically IE8. Trouble is, my PC BSOD half way through the install, corrupting it. So WinUpdate still asks me to download and install it. But that doesn't work, I get an error:
"Setup cannot continue because a more recent version of IE has been detected on this computer".
Obvously due to the corruption.
Is there some way to override this? Or to delete the corrupted IE8 files that half installed earlier?
Cheers,
