Hi all,

I finished building my pc a little earlier but after installing Vista 64 I have been unable to install my speedtouch 330.

I tried to install the device but the install stuck for around 5 mins so I ended the task. The panel said that the usb was not connected which is strange as light on the modem flashes red.

I rebooted but now vista insists that I register online which i cant do because the modem wont install.

I have tryed using different USB ports but this hasnt helped and as you can see the modem is not broken as I am able to come on here on my old pc.

Does anyone have any ideas why the modem wont install?

Did you follow instructions here?

NOTE: Any previous ST-USB/330 Driver must be removed prior to installing version 4.1

Download the Vista Update and save to a temp directory.
UNPLUG your ST-USB/330 modem.
Using Windows Add/Remove Programs un-install the previous driver.
Install the Vista Update.
PLUG in your modem when prompted by the installer, and not before.

If it just gives you grief just buy a router...100x better than USB modems

If you can't connect to the internet, how on earth are you posting? Save the install exe to the HD.

Those instructions are from the Speedtouch website.
