I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 on my machine but keep coming up with an error. I try and install it and it comes up saying:

Capture.png

When I press ignore it fails and tells me to download Adobe support advisor. That tells me to delete the "inprogress" key in the registry. Unfortunately I don't have that key in the registry so I cannot delete it.

The computer doesn't actually need a restart and there is no inprogress key so I'm kinda stumped... Anyone else had this problem?

I'm using Windows 8.

I once had trouble with an Adobe installer and the only way I could get it to install was to clear the TEMP directory as the installer was seeing the previous failed installs:
SYSTEMDRIVE:\USERPROFILE\AppData\Local\Temp

Right, got past the restart pending problem, now it's just coming up with an unspecified "Installer failed to initialise, download the support software etc."

Unfortunately the support software doesn't pick any problems up...

I then decided maybe I should refresh/reinstall the computer, apparently windows 8 makes that easy, except it needs more files et... So much for making things easy.

Well I used the reinstall bit on Windows 8 so just had to remake a USB installer and let it go. I don't have much on there as it's basically only used for Photos and video, with all files on separate drives. Just need to reinstall Word and i'm about done. :p
