Can't install Windows on new Sabrent M2

Hey,

wondering if anyone could help me with a problem. I've recently completed a new build, all fine. I've got a Sabrent Rocket installed but I can't install Windows on it.

From what I read, the disk needs to be GPT - no problem can do that in Disk Manager. Then create a partition in Disk Manager no problem.

However, when I try to install, Windows says that it can't find a partition or create a new one. All the advice I can read online says create a new one using Diskpart, which I've done several times to no avail. I think this is because once you 'clean' using diskpart it changes to an MBR drive. I've tried using 'convert to GPT' but it just says 'this type of drive can't be converted'.

I've been troubleshooting for a couple of days but am now stuck. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm using a Windows ISO with the boot USB created in Rufus.

Thanks

I'm dumb.

All the tutorials etc saying "disconnect any other drives first" were, or so I thought, so that people didn't accidentally install to the wrong drive. "pfft, I know what I'm doing I'm not gonna do that".

Well, after creating a fresh install USB and disconnecting the sata cables of my storage drives, worked first time and now have windows on my Sabrent. No idea why that would be necessary but c'est la vie. Re-connected my storage drives now and all seems good. Leaving this post up in case anyone else scouring the Internet is as thick as me.
