Can't install XP with new SATA drive

Hi all

Ive just got my e6300 and DS3 all built up.. Im tryin to install win XP onto a SATA drive.. Ive put the drivers onto a floppy and press F6 when prompted to in the XP setup. When it looks for the drivers on the floppy I get this error

"File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (4096) at line 1747 in d:\nt\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c."

Any ideas where im going wrong? I got the DS3 SATA controller drivers from the gigabyte web site

have you tried clearing CMOS then trying to the installation process again?

I don't think you will need them mate. The board should pick up the drive without pressing F6. Have you tried it without hitting F6?

I'm not an owner of the board but i'm sure with new boards you don't have yo load any drivers anymore when you install F6....unless u want raid?!

Silly me, your right i didnt need them... lol its been a long morning.. thanks for the replies guys
