I have 2 computers, 1 of them is a DC running server 2003 and the other one is a client running Vista ultimate.
Both are under the same network, same default gateway/subnet.
When I try to join the vista client to the domain, i am getting an error saying that a DC could not be found for this domain, althoguh there is one and it's running.
I think it has something to do with the DNS but I can't find out what exactly.
when I turned the server into a DC its dns changed automatically to 127.0.0.1, so now the vista uses 10.0.0.138 (also the default gateway) as its dns and the server use the ip above.
please see how you can help me finding out what i am doing wrong.
