Can't join Windows Domain from RHEL (Oracle Linux)

Hey

I'm setting up a new server at work, and everything's going swimmingly except that we have a windows domain, which I've never dealt with before.

I'm using Webmin and Samba, as I find that when dealing with new software it's interface helps me - but I can't connect.

I've set up the hostname of the server as a client on the Primary Domain Controller, but I'm not sure what other settings I need in Samba? I tried putting in the IP of the server and trying to bind to the domain as both "domain" and "password server", but for the former it tells me it can't find a server for the domain, and the latter tells me it can't join as a client machine.

I'm assuming it's a problem with approach, rather than IP settings etc - I think I'm just getting my basics wrong - but the articles I can find aren't really clearing things up. Could anyone give me any pointers or perhaps a brief description of how the machines interact and where my settings are likely to be wrong?
