Hi guys,
If you've read any of my other threads I'm currently buying a house. For that reason my sole internet source is my phone. It's not as bad as it sounds... earlier I was able to play some Company of Heroes and Battlefield 3 with a ping of around 90, which isn't too bad.
Every program I use on my computer will log in fine (Origin/Uplay) for example. There is an issue with steam however, that unless the internet on my phone is at it's very peak, it won't log in. When it's running fast (after midnight) it will then log in.
Now I know that this is because the internet speed is below x meg.
My question is... would this be related to when I first installed Steam and it asked me the speed of the internet that I will be using? (At the time I selected the highest speed available) and is there anyway to get round this annoying problem. Once I'm in Steam the internet is fine and more than useable and I can play multiplayer games just fine..?
