I need a new card, my 8800gts is simply getting too hot for my liking in this heat. What i was looking at was the bfg 260 ocx @ £155, but the bfg 275 oc has come down to £159.

Which would i be better off with? The 260 has a higher gpu clock so i dont want to spend the extra to find that it actually performs worse in some situations, but im told that gfx cards dont go on the clock speed alone.

The gtx 275 card should be faster, it has 240 stream proccessors enabled compared to the 216 on the gtx 260. The GTX 260's core clock speed is marginally higher than the 275 - but not by much, and the extra stream processors give the 275 a significant performance edge.
