Hi

Trying to get sleep mode to work:

M4A785TD-V EVO Asus motherboard.
Manual here:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A785TDV_EVO/HelpDesk_Manual/

It has been updated to Windows 10.

It has Sleep / Shutdown / Restart choices for power.

But sleep mode doesn't work. Sometimes it just restarts, sometimes it switches off, CPU fan stops then a few second or a minute later it restarts and turns back on..

In bios is is on S3

The CMOS battery is fine.

I am a noob so any pointers in the right direction aimed at 'intelligent eleven year olds' would be appreciated. What do I research next?

Thanks fellas, pod

What temperature is your CPU sitting at?

Sound's like a faulty mother-board to me..

On the other hand it could be the PSU, what are you using? and what are the specs of your pc.

Hi

It's my cousin's rig, not sure on temps or full spec. Had 4GB ram. Gave it a thorough clean (dust). Hoping to have a second look at the weekend.
