Wasn't sure where to put this and this looked like the best bet.

For a week or two I've had a really irritating problem with games (any game, Watch Dogs, Arma, The Forest etcetc), they'll load, usually minimize straight away, and when I try to maximize it'll flicker on for a second where I can see the game and then minimize again, the only way I can get into the game is to spam click until it finally gives out and stays maximized.

I've tried disabling all non-essential services (non-windows), I've re installed my graphics drivers, end-tasked any process that wasn't needed for the game to run, and still no luck. Anyone have any idea wtf is going on?

Nope, literally the only processes I have other than the usual stuff is Samsung Magician and Chrome.

Nope no TP-Link software.

What profile is Samsung magician on? Thats been causing some random stuff lately.

Profile? I've no clue what you mean. If you mean the performance/stability etc, then it's on Performance with RAPID mode on.

Low and behold, when I exit samsung magician I can maximize. Thanks, I never assumed something like that would be causing it. I guess I'll try and roll back to an earlier firmware.

I've had the Samsung Magician software itself do this (just disable/kill it from task manager, stop it from starting up with windows, don't need to uninstall or remove its helper tasks) - was a known issue due to its bad use of DX calls IIRC.

You don't roll back to an earlier firmware. The problem is that Samsung's windows application is crap. It's not related to your SSD's firmware. Just don't have 'magician' run on startup or in your tray.

Just disable magician, I'm sure you'll be getting extremely fast read/writes anyway and magician probably won't be making a noticeable difference?

RAPID mode, etc. still runs as a background process anyway. Its just the frontend is poorly written and does bad things with the graphics interface. You can stop magician running without turning off any features of the drives.
