Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I'm having trouble opening the Catalyst Control Center. I upgraded to 12.1 this weekend and since then I can’t open it up. I did a clean upgrade too as in delete all the old drivers, reboot and then installed 12.1.

Any help please?

When you deleted the old drivers, did you uninstall CCC too?

good question, CCC wasn’t in my control panel(add/remove programs), but when I right click the desktop it gives me the option to click on it but when I do, nothing happens as explained in first posting.

CCC isn't normally in addremove programs, it is uninstalled through the ATI manager program. Did you only reinstall the driver as the uninstall will remove CCC + driver by default.
You may need to re-install CCC.

Just install over the top from now on, if you do anything else you're likely to break something.

ok tried again this morning, re-installed 12.1(latest on amd website) and still I cant open it. I’m now getting a mom.implementation error and a msi.implementation error when I click on the ccc.exe

never had this before, need to increase by fan speed of my card it’s just a little too low for my gaming...

might have found the issue.....will post incase somebody else is having the same!

1.The error can occur when the Microsoft’s .Net Framework, software used by the AMD Catalyst Software during installation, is unable to locate a required file for installation or operation. Refer to Microsoft’s Fuslogvw.exe article for details. To resolve the issue:

a.Ensure that the operating system has the latest Microsoft .Net Framework files. Refer to Microsoft’s .net Framework page for information on how to obtain and install the files.

b.Once the .Net Framework files have been updated, try installing the AMD Catalyst software

c.If the error reoccurs, a clean install of the .Net Framework and AMD Catalyst Software should be performed.

i.Start with a clean install of the .Net Framework

ii.Uninstall all versions of the Microsoft .net Framework

1.The following third party utility may be helpful in the uninstall of .Net Framework: Aaron Stebner’s Automated cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework

2.Note! The third party utility is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed any AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue

iii.Once sure that the old .Net Framework files have been uninstalled. Perform a clean install of the .Net Framework. Refer to Microsoft’s .net Framework page for information on how to obtain and install the files

iv.Perform a clean install of the AMD Catalyst software

I had trouble opening CCC after downloading the latest drivers. Whenever I clicked on CCC all I got was the revolving circle for a couple of seconds and then nothing.
After a lot of re-installs it suddenly came to me. CCC was already running and was in the hidden icon box! Clicked on this and lo and behold CCC opened. A bit red faced but there you go!!
