Ok, I am giving my mac to my dad
I decided to give it a full going over, and its now had a nice clean brand new install of Tiger 10.4
Dad likes his Opera and so I have tried to install that.
I went to Opera.com and got it for the Mac and it said to install it, I needed to drag the icon into the Apps folder, which I did.
But it just wont run.
I have my new "O" Opera icon in my application list and it kind of starts to open, I then get presented a dialog box with no useable info only that it has failed to start opera and that I can send the crash info to Apple... Which I have done.
Now, it did thios on a very very fresh install and so I decided to check for updates and it found a couple, I did them shutdown and restarted but it still crashes.
Anyway, Im not a Mac pro by any stretch so what can I look out for here? - what reasons could there be for this inability to run opera?
Firefox has gone in just fine, and obviously safari was already there and they are both runnnig perfectly well, but he wants opera!
