Hi guys,
I'm looking to just up the multiplyer on my CPU to achieve 3.0 ghz from 2.8ghz.

I have a
AMD 7850 2.8ghz dual core Black edition.

I bought the
"Titan Nero" AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 7850+ Black Edition 2.80GHz DDR2 System
which is here
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-180-OK

I am running Windows Vista 64bit and just cant find any options for the CPU in the bios.

any help?

a Gigabyte board. Try going into the BIOS, then pressing CTRL + F1 and then looking in the other menus to see if any more options have appeared.

are there hotkeys like that for all mobo manufacturers ?
MSI for example

Ah fair enough. I have been playing with a MSI P7N SLI Platinum and Q6600 and it refuses to overclock> im pretty sure I have the right options available to me under the BIOS, and after making the tweaks the boot text displays the increased clock speeds but as soon as Windows boots its all forgotten.
Had me confused.

2.8-3.1

Ofcourse it will be stable !
If you have a half decent cooling you will probably able to get at least 3.4-3.5ghz out of it.

I'm on air at the moment,
Cooler Master Elite 334 case..

Putting my hands @ the side and it's blowing out cold air not warm haha. I don't think they put a CPU cooler on just default.

And it's showing as Max temp 29 degrees.

I bought this pc too... it was supposed to be overclocked at 3 ghtz can you post a newbie guide on how to overclock it to around 3.1ghtz or 3,4 ghtz anything over 3ghtz is good
I will print the guide and just follow the options (I have never oc'd before)
Current clock time is 2.8 i tried loading the OC profile still shows 2. ghtz on cpu-z

(the pc i have)

It shows 2ghz because of the speedstep/cool'n'quiet.
When your CPU isn't being used, the FSB/multiplier drops down to save you few quid on energy.

You can disable it by going to the BIOS and disabling the said option.

@Conscept
Did you check the temps while stress testing yet? Use prime95 or Orthos to do this.
Sounds like a nice temp, you could probably squeeze 3.4 easily out of it with some tweaks.

Please take a look at beginners guide to OC
for basic info you might like to know ; ).

i heard i only need to edit the multipliers(for this pc) i see 2 multipliers put both to x15 didnt work so reseted the bios (pc wudnt start)
Witch option is it to edit the multiplier thats all i need to know, thanks

I didn't get the pre overclocked to 3ghz one. I got the Titan Nero when it was on offer with the 1gb card.

My default multiplyer is
14.5 = 2.8ghz

Upped to 15.5 for 3.1ghz and can go higher.

went to 3.4ghz but got blue screen after opening arma II but worke find for COD4 etc..

Stress tested in Prime95 for about 1.5 hours.. temps didn't rise too much.. :)

I'l keep it @ 3.1ghz it's plenty fast for me at the moment.

It could go higher with a volt mod probably.

i suppose u got it on x15 ? multiply

this is mine

are your settings the same?

Is the heat ok or not?

If anyone has some good settings for this system please do tell! (windows doesnt load after 16.5 for me) I guess u need to edit something else other then the first cpu option

Yep, everything is same as mine but my multiplyer is @ 15.5

After 16 I think you need to change the voltage but I didn't understand that so left it.
