Hello,

I have a 256mb x1800xt (I think) and want to mess about with the memory and core speeds etc. I have omegas and ATI tray tools but I am not able to change the speeds. I don't seem to be able to choose allow overclocking or whatever the option is? I am vexed. :D

A may be well off, and correct me if I'm wrong, but seeing as you're not 100% sure on what graphics card you actually own, I'd hazard a guess that your not up to scratch on overclocking. Easiest way to clock that card would be to use the CCC not Ati Tools. Yes Its not as efficient as using Ati Tools, and it doesn't allow for higher clocks than 690/800 but its only a matter of moving 2 sliders and then you can get on with what you bought the card for - playing games ;)

Lol, I was at work and couldnt remember if I'd bought an XT or not, thats all. It is an XT and I have (as previously stated) installed tray tools and using omega drivers. I am happy to attempt an overclock on this card but my question was how do I enable OC when the tray tool form tells me that OCing is disabled. :p

Hi Topper :D

What you need to do is unistall the omega drivers and reinstall them, the reason for this is once the omega driver software program finishes it asks you to enable/dissable overclock features in its software.

Hope this helps :)
