Hi

im running the following

e5200
gigabyte p45 DS3 patched to F9 latest bios
4gb OCZ Reaper pc6400

ive gone into bios and set it up to the following

12x multiplier

320 fsb

ram @ 5-5-5-18

mch +0.1v
cpu @ 1.316v
ram @ 2.1v

Save and exit, and pc reboots, then cycles a further 3 times before booting into vista, where coretemp, TAT and cpu-z tell me im running standard clock speed, standard clock voltage etc, but my ram is at the 5-5-5-18 setting i set it to. (was 4-4-4-15 on standard clock speed).

so restart, go into bios and its telling me im running at 3.6ghz.

So i dont know what speed im actually running at!?!!??!

done test before and after and still get the same 21 seconds in superpi so im inclined to believe the windows programs and not the bios. everything is turned off from speedstep to EIST.

help!!!

edit: it seems to reset my fsb when i reboot, as i just set it to x10 + 300fsb to get 3.0ghz, and its booted up at 200x10 giving me 2ghz when default is 2.5ghz, any reason why it wont let me change the fsb ???

Ive done some testing and my FSB wont run over 200.

Even if i set it to 201, the pc reboots 3 times and resets the bios.

motherboard error ? shall i try downgrading to F8 ???

many thanks ram running at 600 on mchB iirc and now have 3.6ghz.

i take it i can steadily increase the ram upto 800mhz to speed it up ?
