When I double click a track to play, the graphic equalizer starts to warm up, the play button turns into a pause button etc, but nothing plays. The equalizer then freezes, and the timer stops at 0.00. I can then scroll through my playlist but if I click on anything the program crashes and I have to force quit. Any ideas? On Ubuntu Hardy by the way...

Hmm..
Just tested my install of Amarok.. Updated the collection.. But plays ok.

But amarok seems to included "ticks" in the track when playing. ~Kind of annoying.

Hardy Heron here too.

Just had a google, and someone mentioned that it wasnt working for them while Opera was open. I appear to have the same issue. His wasnt resolved. Has anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like a problem with the sound driver, if your using alsa or OSS as your server, change it to pulseuadio, the problem is that also or OSS can only let one program at a time use the audio hardware, where as pulseaudio acts as a server. (not sure if i got the specifics correct.)

I had the same problem and changed my settings in the mixer to pulseaudio, and that fixed my problem.
