Hi

I've just reinstalled Windows 7 and I'm struggling to get some drivers installed for my RadeonHD 5850 without breaking Windows Media Centre. As soon as I install the latest driver (which incidentally works perfectly on my old installation), Media Centre refuses to play .avi files without crashing. As soon as I remove the drivers, it works fine again. I have tried older drivers too, all without any luck.

Has anyone got any idea what's going on here, and how to fix it? I just don't know what to try now.

Try re-installing a codec pack? Could be the drivers are over riding something that would naturally error.
