Can't Play UHD Files On PC ?

Downloaded a UHD MKV file and it won't play, the file cannot be corrupt as it works fine if i stream it to my TV

I have downloaded free UHD samples in the past which have all worked fine, any ideas ?

CPU Ryzen 5 3600
RAM 16GB HyperX Fury

VLC is for noobs.

Also don't use that MPC-HC, it's 3 years out of date and was abandoned. Latest is here: https://github.com/clsid2/mpc-hc

If you are even somewhat serious about proper playback, look into setting up madVR (easy via K-Lite codec pack). madVR is the only program that will properly tonemap HDR and has the best upscaling algorithms you can get. It makes VLC look like childs play.
