This is a problem I have never come across before, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have just done a fresh install of Windows 7 64, after having a mess around getting it to run as a Hackintosh out of boredom. Windows 7 64 is now the only OS on the disk again, and is running fine - Everything updated, all devices detected with correct drivers etc. Everything is working fine.
Besides one thing, I cannot install a certain .exe. This is a program I downloaded only 2 days ago on my old Windows install and it worked flawlessly. I even have the same .exe I used back then on my storage drive, that also doesn't work. Now, every time I download it windows detects it as an Application but won't run it. Its icon doesn't show up, nothing happens if I double click it and the context menu doesn't load for a VERY long time if I right click, and then nothing happens when I Run/Run as Admin. The folder the file is in also never completely loads, with the progress bar on the folder directory never completely getting to the end. I have tried downloading the file to different locations, and even different hard drives - The same thing happens.
Really at a loss here.
