cant read msn historys

i just (few months ago) installd dreamweaver 8 trial..... and when i did it over wrote what opens the msn history files and i cant open them properly without mumbojumo so what do i change it to so that i can and where will it be located

pen up any folder
Click Tools>folder options>file types and reassociate the msn log files with notepad or similar

dosent work because it uses xml .... i found ou eventuly jst ran ie through it (durrr you maybe thinking) but sorted now =) ty
