Can't send emails on exchange

Hi,

I have a server running exchange server 2003 and I can't send any emails.

My router (an SMC7904WBRA) has stopped working so I swapped it out for a Draytek Vigor 2700G instead.

After changing the routers recipients report that they don't receive any emails that I send them. I have tried opening the SMTP and POP3 (25, 110, 443) ports on the router and I've sent a few test emails to my own hotmail account but still nothing.

I had no problem on the old router and I didn't even need to open any ports.

Any suggestions?

Are the queues empty (ie are the emails actually leaving the exchange server)?

Are you sending though a smarthost?

Are you able to send from the server using SMTP commands?

Hi, no the queues aren't empty, each time i send a test email they keep accumulating.

I've now noticed that I can send emails but it takes 10-20 mins for an email I sent to be received on external accounts.

What do you mean by smarthost?

what do the message tracking logs say?

that said,do you get message tracking logs in 2003? I can't remember.

I don't think there are any message logs.

Everything was fine with my previous router, the adsl modem on it is faulty as it keeps cutting off so I had to swap it for a new one.
