Hey all, im guessing this is the right section to ask this...
Anywho, im having a lot of trouble trying to record anything when using ASIO drivers to process my line-in effects.
Basically, i have my guitar running thru my input jack, which works fine, but if i use effects programs like Guitar Rig 2 i get stupid amounts of delay (over a second from picking the strings to hearing the sound). So i installed the low latency ASIO drivers and this fixed the delay problem, but now they conflict with "something" and i cant seem to record on the fly.
I've been messing about with Cubase 3, and if i use Direct X to process the audio, i get a signal and everything, but with the stupid delay happening. If i use ASIO drivers, none of my recording programs can process the input signal. Windows recorder gives me some message about not being able to record to "this format" and Cool Edit Pro usually locks up.
I've googled for fixes, but all i could find were fixes for Sound Blaster cards, not Realtek (AC 97) onboard sound.
I honestly don't think it's the onboard sound itself, seems more like a wrong setting somewhere... i just dunno where.
Any help is appreciated.
