Cant reload image saved onto an external encrypted HD

Think i have ran into a brick wall trying to restore my image i created. I created the image with macrium reflect, I saved the image to my encrypted external HD and when i load up the macrium rescue cd to load the image of course i cant open the encrypted HD can i!!

Is there any way round this would you know or will i have to simply save all my images to an un-encrypted HD?

Thanks for that mate, i am thinking of buying myself another external HD just to keep all my backup images of my desktop and laptop, i didnt realize that some external HD were so cheap!! There is a 1TB external HD for only £50 here, where as portable HDs of around 1TB are near on £100.

Anyway instead of encrypting which ever external drive i decide to get is there a way of password protecting my image folders instead? Im running windows 7 home premium so i dont have access to anything like bitlocker
