I used to play an online game with school mates about 6 years ago. It had no graphics and was just an online sci-fi multiplayer game like eve, played in a browser though. It happened in real time so you'd set something to build and come back 2 hours later and. You could attack other people and stuff like that. It was really like eve but free, without graphics, and not so complex or was it just eve 6 years ago?

Any ideas?
 
I don't remember that name but read the gamefaq page on it and looks like it could be the one.

Losing your entire fleet because someone attacked you at nighttime when you were sleeping - check!

Might have to give this a go...

I remember a game called Stars, where you colonised worlds, designed your own ships and so on. I think that was turn based though.
