cant remember the word for it

anyone help me please
i cant remember the word so i will expain what i mean
when u put a cd/dvd/usb stick in the computer, it usually reads it then brings up the box telling you what to do with it " play via media player, view, explore etc etc "
whats that called ? and how do you get it to work again ?
i now put stuff in cd drive and i have to rightclick and explore to view the contents instead of it appreaing ( you know what i mean dont you ) lol
im so so crap at explaining stuff
so if anyone knows how to re enable what im on about it would be very nice to hear from you

Right click the drive in Computer -> Properties -> Auto Play.

go to the drive properties

autoplay tab

select the option(s) you want

press ok
