Hi

I've got a problem with my bike where if I roll it backwards it will move a little bit and then it feels like something 'tightens up' and I have to put soe real effort in to get it to roll back further.

I looked at the chain and couldn't see anything obvious.

Is this a chain issue or something else?

Binding rear brake usually? Or clutch drag? Tried pushing it while its not in gear?

Could be a wheel bearing binding/on its way out

Clutch in/out/neutral gear makes no difference and wheel bearings were recently replaced.

I will check the rear brake out.

Can't see it being the chain, unless its super tight

Checked engine oil level? Only time its been stiff for me is when I've topped up the engine oil,no idea why or the front or rear brake has been binding slightly

Did you click it into neutral then roll it back? It's usually easier to roll back then

I haven't had a chance to check it properly but I'm pretty sure it's linked to the rear brake as I noticed it's making the odd squeaking noise as I roll the bike back.
