I'm running i5-12600/B760i Aorus Pro DDR4/Ballistix 3600Mhz DDR4. Loading XMP runs the RAM @3600Mhz but I want to run it at 3200Mhz as this is what is recommended for the cpu. But the system won't boot at 3200Mhz with or without loading XMP. Can anyone shed some light as to why this is?

I did try some native 3200Mhz RAM which works fine after loading XMP.

Not sure who recommended that you use 3200 with that setup. 3200 is the most the 12600 supports without overclocking, but memory overclocking is one of the features of the B760 chipset so there's no reason not to use it.
