Lovely Wolver-ampton!
I got a copy of this game with my gfx card about 8 months ago and finally got round to installing it last night. All seemed ok, installed the latest patch and went to run the game.

It installed some kind of anti copy protection and asked me to reboot, so I did. When I tried to run the game it threw up an error about something or other, and I can't play it.

I'm using the beta of vista, and all my other games work fine. Is there an issue? I've seen something about Starforce drivers but I'm using the bog standard Leadtek drivers that came with the card.

Help! I really want to play the game but I can't work out what is going wrong!

IIRC Chaos Theory uses Starforce, which doesn't work on vista and is also globally hated for generally screwing up your computer.

If you want to play your going to have to install XP and dual boot it with vista.

Not for this, Starforce is a seperate program for protection that is driver level or something like that. No way you're gonna be able to play that on vista, ever.

Actually...

there is a starforce update for vista beta 2. i have installed this, and the game runs fine.

(there is also a compat mode as there is in XP)

just downloading the update then im off to play! looks like fun.

there's no need to find hacked exe files. if you install the starforce vista updated drivers, the game works fine, with no messing around.

anyone else having starforce issues and cannot play their fave games in vista should try this before looking at dodgy hacked files and nocd cheats.
