Can't run Far Cry 3. Crashes at menu screen all the time...

Hey guys.

I was hoping I could find a solution to this problem here because it's getting on my ****.

I bought Far Cry 3 earlier today and installed it along with that piece of crap uPlay and went to launch the game. All was going well and the game was loading and I saw the Ubisoft splash screen and then the screen after that which says something like 'if you see this icon then the game is saving, don't turn the PC off'. But when that screen disappears and when what I assume is the menu screen appears it just freezes and I have to end the program.

I have updated my graphics divers to the latest version to rule that out.

I feel like I have wasted 17 quid....

Have you tried running the game in safe mode?

Would be a shame not to play it, great game.

try adjusting your sound hz to 24bit 44100,sound silly but ive had to do that a few times,be sure to install latest direct x drivers and c runtimes

All updated and my sound was set to that already
