Hi,
I've just added in a second HDD to my SHuttle. Following advice from the forum I set it as the IDE2 master, with the DVD drive slaved to it.
Anyhow, when I boot up, all 3 devices are detected, my 80gb HDD as primary master, new HDD as secondary master and DVD drive as secondary slave (as you woud expect). When Windows loads, I can see the primary HDD and the DVD drive, but not the new HDD! I tried unplugging the DVD drive and booting with just the two HDDs plugged in. Again in POST both HDDs are detected (one on each channel), but again in WIndows I can only see the primary one
Any idea how I can fix this?
On a secondary note, to format and partition the new HDD (assuming I get it working ), should I just use DOS, or is there a better / faster tool that I should download?
), should I just use DOS, or is there a better / faster tool that I should download?
Cheers,
Fred
