Hi all,
I have DDR2 PC2-8500 8GB (4 x 2GB)
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct25664aa1067
installed on my old Gigabyte P965-DS3P and at PC2-8500 it is rated CL=7 but when I go to set the timings in the BIOS manually I do not have the option at all to select 7....the highest is 6 and I believe leaving it to auto makes it 6 in CPU-Z when set at its rated speed.
I have the latest BIOS . . . is there anyway I can force a higher CAS latency as I am concerned this is why I am failing Blend tests in Prime.
On another note, I cant seem to run it at PC2-6400 Speeds...the computer posts, detects everything, IDE drives, then goes to next screen and there is a white underline in the top left on black screen flashing, it wont progress to windows load. I know I have not provided much info, but if I can add more just ask and I will try.
at the moment to get to windows I have to have it on a 2.5 divider so it runs aroun 1050Mhz on a 420FSB.
Any help much appreciated.
