Hi Guys,

Just reinstalled a machine at work and trying to set up the user with email. Just installed office 2000 and go to the mail icon to set up the users email to point to our exchange server but I just get the outlook express add email account wizard not the normal outlook where I can configure for the exchange. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling/repair, even removed outlook express but still keep getting the outlook express add accccount/newsgroups. I have made sure outlook is set as the default email program.

Dont suppose any of you guys have come accross this before and how you got round it? Would be a great help

Thanks

Open outlook and ignore all the boxes telling you to set an account up, when you get into Outlook, goto Tools>Options and click on the Mail Delivery tab, and click on Reconfigure Mail Support.

Then you can change Outlook from being Internet Mail to Coperate/Workgroup.

Hope that helps :)

Should be pointed out you'll need the office disk in the drive when you do this or it'll bork your install.

Not always, depends if you did a Complete install when you originally installed it. Sometimes I am asked, other times I don't get asked...
