can't ship speakers to france

hi just ordered my new system and all is on its way as i type ....tried to order a speaker system from OCuk and came up over weight????? so i rang them and they told me they cant ship any speaker system to France due to the magnetic core.....anyone know the reason for this ????? as my wife is traveling back next Friday and was wondering if she might hit a problem bringing me one over for me.

Some subwoofers are amazingly heavy, so make sure your wife is upto it (think they can weigh upto 25KG for one box of speakers!). She shouldn't have any actual issues bringing it back though, we are all in the EU

You could buy JM Lab speakers...made in France

The reason is simple, Parcelforce started sending all the speakers that we sent out back to us because they had magnetic warning stickers on them. So we tool the decision to remove all speakers from the parcelforce shipping tables. We tried to get them to stop doing it but they wouldn't. Unfortuantely that means that we are unable to ship speakers via Parcelforce at the moment. I apologise for the inconvenience.

Its incase the magnetic cores stick the box to the roof of the plane during turbulence. The loadies had problems trying to get it as they were just out of reach.
