Ok, quick question.

Anyway of reducing the speed the fans spin at on a laptop? I'm sat in my library, 'silent study' - it's the noisiest thing in here. It's quieter when its running on batteries (battery is flat though) and currently it's plugged in - so the fans go into overdrive!! :confused:

Any ideas? Cheers.

It's not highspec lol! Quite the opposite. It's a 2.6 Celeron with half a gig of ram and some onboard graphics. It gets so hot n I'm only tryin 2 do some coursework in Word.

HD0 = 42C
Temp1 = 62C and a flame. lol

Clean the dust out of the fans is the obvious answer if you haven't already. Turn it off and blow as hard as you can into the fan/ hoover against the grill.
