Cant shutdown

Hey all

I've had this problem before. Basically i press shutdown, and it restarts when it should actually turn off. Previously i narrowed it down to CPU-Z. Whenever i ran that during a session, it wouldnt power down.

But this time i'm not using CPU-Z and it still restarts? It's no real big problem, as i can just hold the power button. But it's annoying when i'm in a rush having to shut it down manually.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Got any Roxio CD Software installed?

also make sure auto restart isnt ticked in...

right click my computer, properties, advanced tab, startup & recovery - settings...

I'm not sure what Roxio CD is :confused:

And the box is unticked

Just read through, and it's only telling me that windows is having an error on the shutdown, causing it to restart? I've got automatic shutdowns unticked so it cant be that

does it shutdown ok in safe mode?

create a new user account and see if it does it in that..

i'd assume its a driver error if its not shutting down in a new account..
