My life, aiieee! Where did it go to? I bought a second-hand Gamecube a few weeks ago and I've been picking up cheap games for it here and there, I can't put the controller down! Over the last week I must have racked up about 40+ hours on the thing. I've been playing a lot of Pikmin 2 which really is a lot of fun. Yesterday I played about eight hours of Legend of Zelda (Wind Waker) and that is absolutely brilliant too. I've been playing F-Zero GX a bit as well, very tough but I love the F-Zero games so much I ended up paying about £600 just to play F-Zero X on the N64. I had a dabble on Resident Evil 4 for a while yesterday, that seems really good and so much better than the older ones but I decided not to play too much until I have finished Zelda.

I got my Gamecube because I wanted to play Wind Waker before the Wii came out because I was getting a bit excited about the new Zelda game on that. Now I've decided perhaps I'll just pick up lots of cheap Gamecube games instead and keep playing Gamecube.

I might get a Wii when F-Zero comes out for it but until then I think I'll stick with my little cube of joy :D

The Wii is backwards compatable with the GC, taking 4 controllers and 2 memory cards just like the original console.

But if you are really enjoying the cube right now I suppose delaying the purchase of a Wii might save you a bit on money.

Yeah, I loved the GC too, went and bought as many party games as I could. Now all I gotta do is find some friends to play with it :(

Really liked my GC but then had to sell it due to financial reasons :(

Then when I finally got a new GC the ex took it lol

My problem is finding games its getting really hard to find some titles now i.e. resident evil 4,i would buy second hand but people just don't know how to look after stuff.

Try and find a copy of Skies Of Arcadia Legends. It's only availble secondhand these days (I got my copy off Amazon) but it eats your LIFE.

Best RPG since Pokemon Blue.

How did you end up paying 600 for F-Zero X!?? Has the game become very rare?

(p.s Was it worth it? ;) )

Well, being a massive F-Zero fan after playing the SNES version to death I was a bit overly excited when I found out that it was comig out in Japan about 9 months before the US/UK release. I went out and bought a US N64 that was converted to play Japanese games for about £200. I bought F-Zero X for a further £50 on import. I took it home, very excited, and plugged it into my TV only to find that my old TV couldn't display the 60hz signal so I had to go out and buy a new TV that could display it. I bought a Toshiba 28" for £400 so in fact I ended up paying £650 to play F-Zero X.

Yes, it was worth it. It was an absolutely stonking game. X Cup drove me insane sometimes but it was one of the best games I have ever played. F-Zero GX is almost as good but it lacks the X cup.
