Im having a problem that on a windows xp laptop there is a folder visible on the network but i cant find which folder is actually shared on the laptop to stop it, it seems to be a combination of 2 folders, nether are shared.

Is there any way to list all folders im sharing in xp? or anything i need to clear to stop this?

secondary question: Some folders I have stopped sharing still show on the laptop (My network Places) one is showing as a network folder, but on clicking cant access it, another is showing under "this computer". How can i clear these?

Thanks :)

This is from XP Pro - don't know if it works with XP Home, but worth a go...

Open a Command Prompt, type in 'net share' and hit return. You can do 'net share <sharename> /delete' as well to get rid of any share except the system-defined ones.

If you right click on my computer go to manage > shared folders you can view information about all shared folders there, and even see who's connected to them and what files they have open. to my knowledge this works in any version of XP or server 2003
