I've just installed vista 64 bit home premium, connected to the internet, and I cannot synchronize the time for some reason. it just says an error has occured. I can't install updates or activate kaspersky anti virus at the moment. How can I synchronize it? I've tried for half an hour and nothing's happening. I just tried it on another pc and it works just fine.

Yep, some take longer to return an error though.

I just got a different message now:

"The time sample was rejected because: Message was received out-of-order".

EDIT - Had to activate my windows via telephone as well. It said security error when trying to activate via internet. Would that be the problem? Or are the servers just busy?

And Windows update won't update either. Error code 80072F8F (unknown error).

Oh. My. God. I am such an idiot. I recently took out the battery, and forgot that until now. I only realised after an hour of scratching my head that my computer thought the date was 7 Feb, 2008. I just set it to 2009 and it worked first time. Damn, need some sleep now. Cheers for your help anyway mr.sly.
