Trying to tune the digital channels on my Samsung tv, but I get them all apart from BBC1 & 2. I've re-scanned and looked for software updates but it can't find them. I know I can receive them because my freeview box upstairs picks them up using the same aerial.

Any ideas ? It's a Samsung LE42R73BD TV.

Thx.

Perhaps your in a fringe area for that particular MUX, and your other receiver just so happens to be slightly better than that one, causing it to be capable of receiving them, but that one not.

I'd suggest trying the one you know that works, from the aerial point that currently doesn't, and see if it still picks it up there :)

Perhaps you're not getting MUX1.

It consists of:

BBC1
BBC2
BBC3
CBBC
BBC NEWS 24
BBCi
BBC Radio Scotland
BBC Radio Cymru

Got ANY of these channels.

The radio channels are 719 and 720 respectively.

there are various reasons

different gains on the freeview tuners so one is more senstive .

And if you only just lost them in recent weeks then high atmosphere pressure is a probably your problem.

Or problem with the TV but i know this is a stupid thing but try ** freeview box on the tv. or try the same socket that u get bbc multiplex.

I've had similar problems with my stuff.. the Pioneer Plasma could get all MUX's but some where a bit flaky.. my HTPC couldn't get the MUX with ITV on it.. etc..

In the end a new aerial (I am on the fringe area, so got something more suitable), and a loft distrbuition amp, and now all my equipment gets all mux's with no dropouts...
