Tried to update and it told me the cFosSpeedDriver was out of date so Microsoft link me to a website where I can buy an up to date driver but it stil says the same error message when I try to update

Having a very quick look online I saw this

How to fix cFosSpeed driver preventing Windows 11 installation?

So what I did was... Win + R > Enter ``msconfig'' > Head to services tab > Disable cFosSpeed > Restart. Seems to be working so far, so good. Currently installing and I've come further than before when I got the above error

This was from 2021 though but may have the same fix now.

Whats the system specs?

I have read it can be part of MSI Dragon Centre or a network card.

Are you trying to install 24H2?

Also seen people say that they can uninstall it without any impact to the system as well so this maybe an option

That fix isn't working for me either unfortunately which is why I followed MS instructions to buy an updated driver - feel like I have been conned.

MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk
Ryzen 3700X
16GB T-Force DDR4

Yes, trying to install 24H2

Uninstall (or update) msi dragon centre.

If you bought something to solve this, then you have likely been scammed. I doubt microsoft themselves promote paid for 3rd party software.

Yeah as above, it sounds very dodgy.

I would just upgrade to Windows 10 and accept that a half baked OS is never going to work right even if you do find the magical cFosSpeedDriver.
