Can't upgrade GPU drivers due to tearing on internet videos

Every time I try to update my my graphics card drivers for my GTX1070 I just get tearing in YouTube videos or BBC Iplayer videos and it doesn't matter what driver I try to update to.

I always end up having to revert back to a system restore point as the roll back driver is always greyed out too.

I am currently using 26.21.14.3615 released 24/08/19

I am not sure if it is my GSYNC monitor or a driver issue. My games work fine after I update but I end up getting tearing in Videos using Firefox.

I have a 1070 and run FF and have no issues with tearing.

Also have a Gysnc panel so could be an issue with your software.

I'd try using DDU as a first step and install the latest driver.

You might see some people disparage DDU but personally I've never had a problem with it and I've used it many times in the past.

Ok I will try that. I can’t imagine it being the panel as there is no tearing before I update the drivers
