Can't upload or login?!

Hi guys,

Recently I had to remove a peice of malware 'Antivir' and did so using Malwarebytes.

Since this I don't seem to be able to log in to my MSN or, more importantly, upload anything to imageshack/photobucket.

I managed to upload a few images one by one but it wasn't having any of it with the multiple uploader.

I've read about script blockers but haven't a clue what exactly is causing this. I've rebooted several times, repaired MSN and looked through my firefox settings and can't see anything

I just uninstalled Java to try and re-install to be told it can't be done with my 'current internet settings'

Any help would be much appreciated!

Edit: I remember something about proxys coming up too but I only have basic knowledge of networking.

Does it work in safe mode? Have you tried using a different browser, i.e. Internet Explorer or Chrome?

I haven't tried in safe mode but having just tried to use I.E. I've remembered that I.E won't load anything. Not even the homepage.

Edit: Diagnosing & repairing just says that nothing seems to be wrong.

Edit: Diagnosing in I.E shows that 'Windows is configured to use a proxy server to connect to websites, but it isn't responding.'

Final Edit:

Disabled auto-matic proxy in I.E. hopefully should sort out my uploading issue too.

Unless you added a proxy yourself (or it was one from added your virus protection or something) it sounds like that could have quite easily been stopping your internet traffic.

Failing all that, could you try posting a hijackthis log?
