I posted about this in the Sports section of the forums.

Intended ordering some road cycling stuff from www.probikekit.com

However, I can't open the website at all with either IE7 or Firefox.

Both just throw up the errors shown on the screenshots below:-

I've tried it on my main desktop PC, my spare desktop PC in the dining room downstairs and on all 3 of our laptops. All do exactly the same.

As far as I can tell from the feedback I've got both here in the Sports section and on a few bike related forums, the site is up and running as normal for everyone else.

Indeed, the missus ordered me the stuff I wanted this morning from her PC at work, she said the site was working as normal for her there.

The strange thing is, if I open up the crappy AOL software browser on one of my PC's, I can get the site to come up ok. However, the "Checkout" during the ordering process wont work.

It just seems to be IE7 and FF that wont play ball.

Any ideas why this is?. I'm guessing its some sort of Network issue with my router ( Netgear DG834G ) but I don't really know what to check or where to start.

Any advice appreciated.

P.S. For what its worth, the wife is quite happy with the site not working - stops me ordering more cycling stuff, she said....:p

Well at the risk of upsetting your wife...

If at a Command Prompt you run 'nslookup www.probikekit.com' what does it output?

Should be something like this:

Code:
C:\ > nslookup www.probikekit.com
Server: YourPCName
Address: IPAddressOfYourDNSServer

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.probikekit.com
Address: 66.225.0.224

If it does map to that IP then you could next try running 'ipconfig /flushdns', then restart IE7 or FF and try again.

If it still doesn't work open 'C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts' in a text editor and check there is only one line that does not begin with a '#' character. It should read '127.0.0.1 localhost'.
