As title, I have a brand new system with no graphics card and a brand new copy of MW2 :(

What do you think? for 240 quid and some benchies showing it can beat a single 5870 what do you think?

More than happy with my two 5770's in MW2 at 1920x1200.

I also don't believe a single 4870 would do me at that res, given how badly spanked my 2 3870's were.

MW2 can be played at max by previous gen cards. Just buy a hd 4870 from mm temporarily.

annoyingly just sold a 4870 and an 8800gtx, that is what puts me in this position.

Hopefully the CF 5770's will do me till next years Nvidia effort.

I've no choice really. I have had a 5870 on preorder since october and they've just changed the ETA to the 9th of december. I can't be without my PC any longer.

My only reservation is that they will go down in value so much that when the bigger boys get back in stock I can't afford one.

Just ordered 2 XFX 5770's for tomorrow. will let you know how I get on. I'm sorry it had to come to this :(

u shud of just ordered 1 in the mean time xD maxed out codMW2 is only using 40% if my 5870 gpu. so 1 x 5770 would have been fine till there are more 5870's available =p

I reckon a 1024mb 4870 would do ok, I have tried it @ 1920x1080, all setting high, 2xAA and I get 45fps+ on my 8800gt. On extra I get some stuttering due to lack of VRAM.

However the dual 5770 does seem like a great set up, outperforming a 5850 in almost all situations and sometimes the 5870.

im tempted with the 5770s, BUT i can wait for the nvidia cards but tbh id like to upgrade by february (have atm 2 HD4850s). Would i see a definate performance boost with 5770s OR would a 5870 be a lot better vs the 2 5770s.
