Can't you fast forward through a track on the 360?

I must be missing something really obvious here, because I can't figure out how to do it. I have an hour-long mix track downloaded and I wanted to skip to about 40 minutes in. Can I not, or am I being a tard?

Bumper and trigger button do chapter skip and fast forward etc. Up yo 16X speed IIRC.

The only time trigger buttons do anything for me is on full-screen vis, and then they just skip between tracks. All the bumper buttons do is change the actual vis. :confused:

How am I not figuring this out? I'm supposed to be going into making games for the 360 for crying out loud! Disgraceful.

EDIT: From briefly reading around, it seems you simply can't do it with audio. How on earth have they missed that out?
