Canterbury Cathedral
Photography is permitted (except in the Crypt) – but for your own personal use only. Any commercial / stock library photography must be agreed in advance and is subject to a fee.
Everything I can find seems to vary. For pro photography you need a permit, but there are others that are saying they had to buy one anyway, and not to be unkind, but some of the photos on their Flickr pages is so far from professional, I can't help but wonder what they told them.
It may well be the case, from looking around, that if you come in with a tripod they may deem you permit worthy.
