I must have tried 30 CAPTCHA codes before I managed to get one right and register for this forum last night. I was on the verge of throwing things at my screen, I actually had to walk away from the computer and cool myself down.

Yeah it's kind of like a fight club test, we tell you to go away 30 times, and if you are still standing there at the end we let you in :D

I can't remember if OcUK forums had a CAPTCHA procedure back in 2004, the year I registered. I have seen some goddamn awful ones on other sites. When a human can't read it, let alone a 'bot, what's the point?

Off-topic but kinda related: I hate it when you're looking for a download on a site, such as a driver, and it's so deep-rooted inside the site, then you find pages that describes the driver but no link to the damn driver.

I hate captcha with a passion. They have made it so difficult to decipher the characters that even a human can't read the damn thing.

Just checking you aren't a bot:

I saw one once where you had to drag and drop the requested item into a box (out of 4 options - such as an ice cream, a basketball, a tennis racket and a car) was pretty cool.

Edit, Redeye posted it on his first link! So cool!
