Looking for something simple that just requires an email address to log into the guest network, is there anything off the shelf that will do this without costing a fortune?

Information harvesting for sending newsletters/offers, but on second thoughts with the new data protection laws coming in, it's maybe not the best idea!

Why? GDPR is not an issue, the focus with the new DPA regs is just all about ensuring explicit consent is given and it's crystal clear what will be done with the information.

If you add a tickbox with a link to T&Cs stating what you will do with the email and that they are also agreeing to newsletter/offers from XYZ, then you have consent and stated what will be done with their email address.

You could also include usage rules and restrictions as well on the network itself within the T&C.
